The Exit Of Time
Existence only “counts” when recorded, monitored, and responded to. When time exists only when perceived, then states of solitude, stagnation, and unresponsiveness equate to “gaps in the system.” This represents the most insidious layer of violence in the quantification of emotion: feelings that go uncaptured are as if they never occurred. The system permits complexity, but it does not permit true free time. Within this structure, emotions are not directly presented but are instead placed within a digitized temporal framework: only perceived existence possesses time, unrecorded states are deemed by the system as pauses or voids.
